What to Expect

To ensure the ultimate South African experience, we've packed the day with plenty of activities, entertainment, and good old-fashioned SAFFA gees:

  • Potjiekos Competition – Watch teams battle it out for Potjie Cup glory as they cook up their best creations over open fires.

  • SAFFA Market – Browse a variety of South African-inspired food, treats, crafts, gifts, and unique products from local vendors.

  • Boeresport – Enjoy traditional South African games and activities designed for all ages, from the young to the young at heart.

  • United States of Lekkerness Sokkie – Put on your dancing shoes and join us for a lekker sakkie-sakkie under the Georgia sky.

  • Food, Friends & Festivities – Reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and celebrate everything we love about South African culture.

Event Guidelines

  • Every participant and attendee will receive a wristband upon arrival. Wristbands must be worn and visible at all times throughout the event.

  • Please help us create an enjoyable experience for everyone by treating fellow attendees, volunteers, judges, vendors, and the venue with courtesy and respect.

  • Wildlife Action is a nature preservation area and does not provide trash collection services. Please help us leave the venue as beautiful as we found it by taking all trash and belongings home with you.

  • You're welcome to enjoy a drink, but please do so responsibly and discreetly. To maintain our family-friendly atmosphere, we kindly ask that all beverages be consumed from cups or tumblers rather than original containers.

Keep the Gees High & the Vibes Classy.

Let's work together to make this a memorable day filled with great food, laughter, friendship, and South African hospitality.

Come hungry. Come ready to kuier. Come ready to compete, celebrate, and make memories.

Join your Jozi to Georgia family and friends for an unforgettable day by the lake.
