IMPORTANT POTJIE CUP ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear SAFFA family,

After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to POSTPONE the Jozi to Georgia Potjie Cup scheduled for this Saturday.

With Hurricane Isaias bringing the potential for significant rain, strong winds and dangerous weather conditions, we simply cannot responsibly ask our contenders, market vendors, volunteers and attendees to set up and spend the day outdoors in those conditions.

This event involves open-air cooking, gazebos and tents, equipment, families spending many hours outdoors, and lots of moving parts. We also have children and seniors joining us, and their safety, as well as the safety of every person attending has to come before everything else.

We have also taken our Potjie contenders and SAFFA Market vendors into consideration. They have invested a tremendous amount of time, effort, money and preparation into this event, and they deserve the opportunity to compete, trade and enjoy the day properly - not battle wind and rain while trying to keep everything safe.

We know how much everyone has been looking forward to Saturday, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment. Believe us, nobody is more disappointed than we are.

But this is a postponement, not a cancellation!

Same Potjie Cup - just hopefully with much better weather and no uninvited Hurricanes!

All tickets, team entries and vendor registrations will automatically carry over to the new date.

If you are unable to attend on November 7, please contact us at info@afridaisy.com and we will assist you as soon as possible.
